Eyes and Mouth Detection - Results

Saccadic search applied to eyes and mouth detection has been tested on 349 images from the M2VTS database. Several subjects in the database wear eyeglasses, even with strong reflections, or have their eyes shut. Images were downsampled to a 175x143 pixel resolution, corresponding to a typical inter-eye distance of 30 pixels. The error rate is 3% per feature, with a tolerance of 4 pixels. In 97% of the images at least two features are localised within a 3 pixel tolerance.
